We love Italy and Italian food! Every time I was in Italy I couldn’t help but wonder why their food is so good. I learned the secret from an Italian chef and it is very simple. They use fresh ingredients, natural as more possible and in addition most of the time cherry tomatoes are used in their kitchen. Why? They are sweeter, more fragrant and give the food that delicate flavor that stays in your taste for a long time…
So today we will cook an Italian pizza! Tasty and without complicated ingredients!
Ingredients
Dough
500 g flour
320 ml of warm water
25 g fresh yeast
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon olive oil
50 g flour for the worktop
500 g cherry tomatoes
250 g of mozzarella
1 sprig of fresh basil
1 teaspoon olive oil
I put 320 ml of warm water in a bowl. I put the yeast in it and mixed it well with a fork.
In a larger bowl in which they can be mixed, I put the 500 g of flour and a teaspoon of salt and I mixed them well.
I poured the yeast water over them and mixed until I got a dough. Then I sprinkled the worktop with a little flour and turned the dough over in it. I seriously started mixing, pulling the dough and then wrapping it. I left it to ferment for about 20 minutes.
Then I took the dough and divided it into four pieces. I flattened each piece of dough with the palm of my hand. I gave it the shape of a disc (1 cm thick) and I mixed it a little more, bringing the edges of each ball inside.
I chose a roomy oven tray and sprinkled flour on the bottom. I placed the 4 balls at a great distance from each other and greased them with olive oil. I let them grow. I put a kitchen napkin on top and left the dough to rise for about 2 hours.
In the meantime, I took the other ingredients to prepare them. I drained the mozzarella balls and washed the cherry tomatoes and basil. Here I used organic cherry tomatoes, because they are sweeter and more fragrant than usual.
I took 350 grams of tomatoes and cut them into pieces, then I put them in the blender, with a little salt, and a few basil leaves (for those who want to add a clove of garlic) to make a Delicious tomato juice. At the end I added the olive oil.
I turned on the oven at 250 degrees Celsius to heat well. When the dough has risen, I spread it out and put it in the baking tray, which I greased with a little oil and covered it with flour.
I took the organic cherry tomato juice that smells delicious, and spread it over the dough with a brush or spoon (after you find it in the house). I then cut the mozzarella balls in half and put them over the pizza. I let the pizza bake for about 10 minutes and that’s it. I put fresh basil on top and everything is delicious. Good, healthy and has a taste that you can’t easily forget!
